Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of RescueEM (the "Service") provided by Ahmed Elsayed Ghoname ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Who you are contracting with

The Service is provided by Ahmed Elsayed Ghoname, trading as RescueEM. You confirm you are at least 18 years old or have authority to bind your organisation.

2. The Service — educational use only

RescueEM is an educational study and exam-preparation platform for medical students, residents, and licensed healthcare professionals preparing for emergency medicine board, in-training, and licensing examinations. It provides podcasts, slides, infographics, mind maps, multiple-choice questions, and fictional teaching case scenarios for study purposes only.

The Service is not medical advice, not a clinical decision-support tool, and is not a substitutefor your training, your supervising clinician, your local protocols, or any licensed healthcare provider. The Service does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or condition, and it does not award any continuing medical education (CME) credit, certification, or professional credential. Using the Service does not create any clinician–patient relationship between you and RescueEM or its author. See our Educational Use Disclaimer.

3. Accounts and audience

The Service is intended for medical students, residents, and licensed healthcare professionals using the content for personal study. By creating an account you confirm that you are using RescueEM for educational purposes only and that you will not rely on its content to make clinical decisions about any real patient.

You must provide accurate information when registering and keep your credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity under your account.

4. Acceptable use

You must not:

  • use the Service to make clinical decisions about, diagnose, or treat any real patient;
  • upload or submit any patient-identifiable information (PHI/PII) to the Service;
  • represent that the Service constitutes medical advice, a clinical guideline, or a professional credential;
  • use the Service unlawfully or for fraud, spam, or abuse;
  • infringe intellectual property or other rights;
  • interfere with the Service's security (malware, probing, scraping);
  • reverse engineer, resell, or redistribute the Service or its content;
  • circumvent technical limits or share your account with others.

5. Licence

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to access and use the Service for your personal, non-commercial educational use within your selected plan.

6. Intellectual property

All content, software, branding, and documentation in the Service are owned by Ahmed Elsayed Ghoname or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. We retain all rights not expressly granted to you.

7. Payments, subscriptions, and refunds

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment, billing, tax, cancellation, and refund mechanics are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms.

Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your account or via paddle.net. See our Refund Policy for details.

8. Service availability

We work hard to keep the Service running, but we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times.

9. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Content is for education only and must not be used as a substitute for professional medical judgment.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising out of or related to the Service is limited to the amounts you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, special, or incidental damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold Ahmed Elsayed Ghoname harmless from claims arising out of your use of the Service, your content, or your breach of these Terms.

12. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access for material breach of these Terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated policy violations. You may terminate at any time by cancelling your subscription and discontinuing use. On termination, your access ends and your data may be deleted after a reasonable retention period.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Service or by email. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Ahmed Elsayed Ghoname is established, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence still apply.
